“online Communion” is “truly good, right and salutary”

Communion and COVID-19

The LCMS Commission on Theology and Church Relations has written “One little word can fell him” to reaffirm their March 20, 2020, opinion on “Communion and Covid-19” in light of recent discussions regarding online home Communion.

This document provides 10 reasons in support of the previous statement that Lutheran churches should refrain from online Communion services.

The CTCR writes this “as representatives of both seminaries, fellow ministers and brothers and sisters in Christ in the royal priesthood. We speak out of deep, conscientious concern over a practice that we cannot endorse and that we fear may produce division (and, sadly, already has).”
