• The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod began work in Uruguay in 1960.

  In 1993, the LCMS began mercy work support in Uruguay with a grant to upgrade the sanitation system in a church and school.

  The LCMS periodically supports various projects in support of the national Lutheran church in Uruguay. The LCMS partners with a Lutheran congregation in Montevideo, Uruguay, to increase Lutheran outreach and mission.

  The LCMS' Recognized Service Organization, Children’s Christian Concern Society, also provides educational scholarships for students and teacher salaries at Lutheran schools in Uruguay.

   

•  Missionaries

• The LCMS partners with a Lutheran congregation in Montevideo, Uruguay, to increase Lutheran outreach and mission in the small South American nation of Uruguay. The mission in this city has the potential to reach many Uruguayans who have never heard the central message of the Gospel—that God offers them salvation through faith alone in Jesus Christ.

  Your support allows the LCMS to continue mission outreach in this country. If more funds than necessary are received towards projects in this country, the additional funds will be used to support ministry in the same region.
